The working structure of the food store is inefficient in satisfying their customers need due to following reason: The owner and staff members are facing problem in managing demand of customers to provide the grocery item delivered at their door step. The inefficiency in handling customer demand has make declination in the profitability ratio of the company (Kurnia and Chien, 2011). The customers are gets attracted towards the business organization which provides online shopping facilities to their customers so that they can get their product delivered at their door step. The company should take step forward in transforming their working tactics with the innovative project plan. The revolution of trends and technologies has accelerated the process of adoption of information system to increase the level of satisfaction in the customers which in resulted into increase in profitability. Management Decision The top executives should participate in making decision regarding innovation required in the working platform of the enterprise. The management should raise their concern for uplifting the functional program of the enterprise. The focus should be given on analysing the following question to take effective decision for the betterment of the business process: What are the issues of the existing system? On what platform their market competitors provide service to their customers? Is it required to develop an online portal for the company effectiveness? What features should be added in the portal for the company? How the customers get aware about the new system functionality of the business? Is the proposed information system is successful in handling all the housekeeping activities of the company effectively? Research Questions The research analysis of the local grocery store helps in identifying the problem faced by the business in performing their daily operation. It has been researched that customers are excited for using the online application of the grocery products (Ranadive, 2015). The innovative services provided to the customers helps in increasing demand of the business organization. From the research, it has been seen that the graph of business growth of the market competitors rises who makes use of information system in handling their business activities and the traditional working platform had resulted into declination of the business demand and profitability. The innovative explosion of technologies makes the organization to change their tactics according to the demand of global world. The global platform can be developed for expansion of the company through the means of information system (Pausi, Thoo, Tan, Muharram, Talib, 2014). The proposed information system should be flexible for adding new features to the system according to the changing demand and requirement of the customers. Project Objectives The company is looking forward to transform their business tactics to the online information system developed for handling the business operations. The technological explosion raises the demand of online development of the grocery showroom for the enterprise. The objectives of the newly designed system are: Handling all the business activities related to taking orders of customers, shipping and delivery services, managing invoices of the customers, providing login credentials to the customers for security purpose, taking feedback from the customers about the quality of services provided by the company in delivering the grocery products at their door step, and others (Penim, 2014) Satisfying the customers requirement Renovating the traditional working with the modern and digital technology Increasing efficiency in taking managerial decision Inclusion of social media platform for guiding customers to use the new application of the ABC food store for ordering grocery products. The innovative system helps in resolving all the uncertainties associated with the traditional system (Holm and Nejad, 2017) Conclusion: It is concluded that the proposed system for the development of online grocery shop for the ABC food store helps in increasing the profitability of the enterprise by attracting new customers from the global location towards the company by making use of digital information system.
